Ayer and Smith join new project, Suicide Squad Sequel on the Way

Despite being almost 5 months away from release it appears already Warner Bros. is planning a sequel for Suicide Squad. Variety are reporting that Deawill-smith-joel-edgerton-2-shotdshot actor Will Smith and director David Ayer are in talks to join Max Landis spec script ‘Bright’.

It is expected that Warner Bros. will pick up the project and that Joel Edgerton is in talks to co-star in the film. Not much as known about the project except that it is expected to be in vein of another Ayer film ‘End of Watch’ except set in world were fairies and Orcs exist in the same world as Humans.

It is unknown at this time when the film will get underway but the hope is that production will begin this year freeing both Ayer and Smith to film the Suicide Squad Sequel in 2017.

This is news to everyone that a sequel is on the way obviously Warner Bros. is very happy with the film and the reaction the trailers have had online. They must be pretty confident the film will be a hit to move along with a sequel so early.

Suicide Squad is set hit cinemas in 5th August 2016.
