With Spectre finally released in cinemas in the UK tonight and the US November 6th, In many ways this film feels like a end of an era in terms of James Bond films. With reports that Daniel Craig’s interest in returning for another film waining people have already began speculating who could be next to play James Bond.
However it appear Bond executive producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have not yet given up hope that Daniel Craig wont play Bond one more time. Speaking with Sky News during the Spectre UK premiere Wilson said “He’s our man”, Broccoli added “We’re going to figure it out. We’re not going to let him go.”
Craig caused a lot of controversy whilst promoting Spectre by saying in an interview with Time Out he’d rather ‘slash his own wrists‘ then make another film. However he has also said he may change his mind later on. So who knows, as someone who saw Spectre tonight (review coming soon) it would be a shame to see Craig step away, he certainly would leave big shoes behind him if he decides to give up the role.
