One of the surprising hits of last year was Keanu Reeve’s action film John Wick, the film made 78 million at the box office and once again put Reeves on the map as an action star.
So unsurprisingly a sequel is on the way and with production set to get under way later this week the cast is beginning to come together. The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that actor and musician Lonnie Rashid Lynn AKA ‘Common’ has signed on to play the villain.
Commons previous film appearances included Entourage, Terminator: Salvation, Wanted, Selma and American Gangster. Common is set to appear in Suicide Squad and Barbershop 3.
John Wick 3 will see co-director Chad Stahelski return to direct the film based on a script written by Derek Kolstad. The Hollywood Reporter is also claiming that Ian McShane best known for his work on Game Of Thrones will return to play Winston who in the original was the owner of the Boutique Hotel.
John Wick 2 is set to be released in 2016.
