Star Wars Episode VIII is pushed back

Fresh on the heels of Star Wars The Force Awakens it appears we will have to wait a little bit longer for Episode VIII. Today the Hollywood Reporter has announced that the film that was slated for May 26th 2017 has now been pushed back to December 15th 2017.

Episode VIII is set to be directed and written by Rian Johnson and will see Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver & Mark Hamill all to return to reprise their roles.

This comes after reports that filming was being pushed back to later in the year and the script was having another re-write.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the overwhelming success that Force Awakens was, making $1.8 million worldwide up to now, when it was released December 17th last year.

In the mean time we have the first Star Wars Anthology film to look foreword to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story set to be released December 16th later this year.
