Weekend Box Office: Bourne opens in first place with Bad Moms also opening strong.

Jason Bourne and Bad Moms both opened quite strong this past weekend at the US Box Office. The 5th instalment in the Bourne films topped it with a respectable $58.2 Million domestically. It’s the second highest opening weekend total for the franchise with only Bourne Ultimatum making more opening with $69 million.

Star Trek Beyond dropped a place in its second week. Opening in 2nd place with $24.7 million. Comedy, Bad Moms, opened at 3rd place with a respectable $23.8 million.

The Secret Life Of Pets is still hanging in there at 4th place in its 4th-week making $18.9 million. New release Nerve opened poorly finishing 8th making only $9.4 million, earnings below Ice Age: Collision Course, Lights Out and Ghostbusters all in their 2nd and third weeks of release.
