Weekend Box Office: ‘Finding Dory’ crushes in second week

Finding Dory remains top by quite a significant margin in the US box office this weekend as the film enters its second week. Finding Dory made a whopping $72 million which was only a 42% drop from last week.

In the first of the new releases Independence Day Resurgence disappointedly finished in second place with a sensible $41 million. While Central Intelligence drops to third making $18 million in its second weekend. You can check out our review of Independence Day Resurgence here.

Also opened this past weekend The Shallows made a disappointing $16 million finishing 4th. Finishing 5th The Conjuring 2 made $7 million in its second weekend.
