Weekend Box Office: Kung Fu Panda 3 continues to hold strong, Force Awakens hits $2 billion wordwide

Kung Fu Panda 3 continued to hold strong in the US box Office last weekend in its second week, staying at 1st place, making $21 million. Meanwhile Hail, Caesar opened in 2nd place in its opening weekend making a respectable $11 million. Star Wars The Force Awakens and The Revenant finished at 3rd and 4th in its 8th and 7th weeks respectively, each making $6.9 million.

Whilst the other two new releases The Choice and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies both opened at 5th and 6th place. The Choice made a disappointing $6 million whilst, Pride And Prejudice and Zombies made an equally disappointing $5.3 million.

Meanwhile in worldwide box office news, The Force Awakens became just the 3rd film in history to make $2 billion worldwide. It currently sits at 3rd place in the highest grossing films of all time list, being $186 million short of 2nd place Titanic. Its highly unlikely Force Awakens will catch Titanic now, judging on how much money has slowed down however who knows. Last Weekends box office results can be seen in full below via Box Office Mojo.
